Inspired by the lavish appeal of traditional Chinese homes, the homeowners wanted a dark, luxurious interior that emphasized on functionality.
The dark and glossy marble tiles were chosen to add a fancy and upscale flavour to the theme, while preventing the navy blue tones and wooden textures from overpowering the home. Considering that the look depended a lot on of textures and patterns, we also wanted to minimise potential for clutter, adding on strategic storage spaces that keep things neat and keep the design in focus. Cabinets were built in the living room as well as the bedrooms, giving a consistent flow to the design, while adding on creative space to the areas.
