WARM MINIMALISM AT ITS FINEST
Property Type: 3-Room HDB
Location: 76 Bedok North
Property Size: 72 sqm
Striking just the right balance between pastoral and sophisticated, this farmhouse interior welcomes you with its comfortable yet contemporary sensibilities. Neutral tones compliment rustic textures and patterns to create a warm and homely atmosphere in this space. The communal area features plenty of organic and natural elements that evoke a sense of rustic vibrance. The use of furniture is strategically placed to segment areas of the house while maintaining the spaciousness of the area, with a tan textured wall at the backdrop to tie the space together.
The kitchen is where we get to see strong elements of visual interest that truly add dimension to the area. The cabinets feature wooden base textures, paired with classic white tops that sport a handle-free look. The tiled backsplash zones the kitchen and preparation area, while adding a unique touch to the room.
DESIGNER'S PERSPECTIVE
The off-beat farmhouse interior style is a labour of love, where eclectic tastes can grow and flourish freely. We went into exploring the world of unexpected pairings, having fun with texture, patterns and prints. Soft, muted colours were key in bringing the elements together, as they forge cohesion across the different spaces. The space had plenty of natural light and openness that we also wanted to play around with. Considering this, we introduced a foldable glass door that segregated the living area and the rooms, while also allowing for the space to flow visually.
