CONTEMPORARY ECLECTIC FUSION
Property Type: 4-Room HDB
Location: 802 Yishun
Property Size: 104 sqm
A harmony of soft muted colours and statement tilings encapsulates the vibrant aura of this contemporary eclectic-inspired interior design. Natural light illuminates the space and plays well with the neutral whites and greys, making the communal space open, bright and relaxed. The space combines the living and dining area, clearly zoned and devoted to relaxing and entertaining.
Extra seating space was crafted within the walkways to the rooms, making a spacious area functional for casual sitting. Behind the closed doors are rooms clad in simple contemporary minimalism, pairing neutral tones with warm lights for a soothing ambience. In contrast, the kitchen embodies a tongue-in-cheek vibrance, clad in cheery apple green flat panel cabinets with accents of pinkish-purple, and well-balanced with white counters. A perfect fusion of diversity with practicality!
DESIGNER'S PERSPECTIVE
Considering the homeowners’ needs and varied tastes, opting for the eclectic look was the best way to bring together the contrasting styles and textures to create a stylish and functional space. The communal space was dressed in the contemporary style, left spacious with minimal aesthetics to leave the eclectic vibes shining. This philosophy was also applied in designing the rooms, focusing on leaving them clean and calm. A customised walk-in wardrobe was also installed in the master bedroom, serving a dual purpose as a divider between the bedroom and the en-suite toilet.
And here is where the eclectic style really shines—fun patterned tiling and gold accented accessories adorn the master room toilet, with a glass divider between the wet and dry areas for a touch of elegance. In the opposing kitchen toilet, mustard yellow brick tiles complemented with darker tiles and accessories bring a rugged industrial feel. An interior style with a personalised appeal for sure.
